I wonder if you could quantify the cost of each different discipline’s contributions. I think DevOps “comes out ahead” because even if all the other operations are fully automated and optimized the app still has to function for it to matter.
But with that logic, what's the point of the app functioning if there aren't any users? That's where marketing and sales come in. Agree though, quantifying the output of all disciplines will directly show value.
